Pooling, You Say?

Bandwidth pooling allows you, the client, to combine your bandwidth allocation between multiple servers into a single large allotment. IP pooling works similarly as it allows IP addresses assigned to individual servers to be transferred seamlessly from server to server.

 

Advantage

Bandwidth pooling is a very cost-effective option for clients with multiple servers on our network. For example, if you operate one server with a 3,000GB bandwidth allocation and one with a 7,000GB allocation, you can combine the two allotments into 10,000GB shared between the two servers on your account. This is especially effective for high bandwidth usage clients or for clients that are consistently utilizing close to their allocation on one server, and very little on the other.

Remember, ACTServers does not bill for inbound bandwidth, so your entire bandwidth pool is an outbound allocation.
